饺子 jiǎozi are small, thin circles of dough which are folded over a filling. 
The dough is made from simple white bread flour without yeast.
The filling can be anything, but generally has meat, or tofu and vegetables.

饺子 jiǎozi can be boiled in water or steamed.
After cooking, the 饺子 jiǎozi may also be fried a little.
饺子 jiǎozi can be eaten for breakfast, or anytime as a filling snack.
Traditionally, 饺子 jiǎozi are especially popular when families get together.
Everyone stands around a table and makes 饺子 jiǎozi by hand.
