拉面 lāmiàn! The longest noodles you will ever eat: average noodle length: 12 metres, or 39'!!

拉面 lāmiàn means 拉 lā, pull + 面条 miàntiáo, noodles. 拉面 lāmiàn means "hand-pulled noodles". The idea of 拉面 lāmiàn originates in the Muslim areas of North China. (I am not a Muslim, but please don't tell anyone. They may not allow me to make these delicious noodles!) A famous centre for 拉面 lāmiàn is the city of 兰州 lánzhōu in 甘肃 gānsù Province. China has millions of noodle restaurants in all parts, which sell: 兰州 lánzhōu-牛肉 niúròu-拉面 lāmiàn, Lanzhou-Beef-Noodles. Britain, as far as I can tell, has only 3 or 4 Lanzhou Beef Noodle restaurants. So we thought we should bring this Chinese speciality to marketplaces in Britain!
